A meagre mist hangs unto a frosty still,
Where a quiet slip meets an incandescent bleak,

Steeped thick in brume.

The sky lays painted in aerials,
Skinny, wire arms stretching upward,
Twisted, like praying.

Droplets clinging to my window,
For their lives, little beetles, mildew, mud,
Amongst the shit and scum.

All drenched and dripping,
Discorded, disorder.
